We could not have asked for a better way to finish up 2017 than with Sarah and Jorge’s wedding! We have known the couple for many years. Their children have been participating in our Scare Away Hunger for quite some time. So it was truly an honor to be asked to be a part of their special day.
Sarah and Jorge exchanged vows on a beautiful winter day in downtown Durham. Their wedding was so much fun and full of such love. Family plays an intricate role in a Hispanic wedding. Since we had never photographed a Hispanic wedding before, Sarah explained to us the different traditions involved. Each guest gets a photo with the couple. The first dance at the reception involved all of Sarah and Jorge’s family. As someone who has never been a part of that type of celebration before, it was incredible to watch and capture.
