This past Labor Day weekend, we were up in New York City covering the Metropolitan Baseball Classic, a fabulous first year event put on by the Mets. Travel teams, made up of players from all over the country, competed in this three-day tournament. The winner took home the Metro Baseball Classic trophy along with bragging rights for the year.
We go to many events throughout the summer, and the Metro Baseball Classic definitely ranks up there as one of the best. The level of talent was good and the venues were great (can you really beat working at Citi Field?). The Mets’ scouting department did a great job putting this event together!
