Oh my goodness, Hali is going to prom! That’s the thought that ran through my mind when her mother asked me if I wouldn’t mind shooting a few photos before the big night. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of photographing Miss Hali several times, normally while she is volunteering with the Animal Protection Society of Durham.
Over the years, Hali has grown into this strong, beautiful young woman. She has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh with her “I rock this” smile and poses. Hali also has this incredible ability to always know when I have the camera pointed in her direction. She is always ready!
I met Hali, her family and her date at the American Tobacco Complex before dinner. Wow! I did not realize that ATC was the place to go for prom photos. After a little walking around, we were able to find a few not-so-crowded places for photos.

I love this family so much! They are always together, supporting each other through everything. They laugh, give each other a hard time. It’s so wonderful to be around.
We had a little sun peek through while we were taking photos. Of course, Hali was ready as soon as I shouted “Sun!”
