2019 Boras Classic

For the second year in a row, we had the honor of working with the Boras Foundation to photograph the Boras Classic tournaments. The Boras Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to remove the barrier of cost for students and schools who might otherwise not be able to play in a high quality event.

Both the Arizona and Southern California Classics offered up thrilling games, late-inning heroics and incredible plays. Here are just a few of our favorite photos from those two event.

The Davis Family

The Davis family has been coming to the Alycat Scare Away Hunger food drive for the last six years. This year, they were our raffle winners for a family portrait session. I look forward to any opportunity to get George and Harry in front of the camera. I’ve been photographing them since they were both little guys.

When the extended family came to town during the holiday season, they took advantage of everyone being together. We spent some time wandering around the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, laughing and enjoying ourselves. Of course, there were a few goofy moments too!

Valentine’s Love for the APS of Durham

Last weekend, we invited our pet loving friends out to Barley Labs and Glass Jug Brewery in Durham for a Valentine’s themed photo shoot that would benefit the Animal Protection Society of Durham (APS). Not surprising, the community rallied around the events and dozens of folks and their 4-legged besties came out to enjoy the fun, drinks and photos. Thanks to our participants, we were able to raise $1,000 to help the homeless animals at the APS feel some extra special love.

We came away with so many great photos. Here are a few of our favorites!

The Hartzler Family

The holidays mean family time and photo shoots! We had several shoots scattered around the end of December. The first was with the wonderful Hartzler Family.

I had a great afternoon running around the American Tobacco campus with the Hartzlers. The kids had a blast chasing each other and seeking out all the holiday decorations. The love and joy this family has for each other made the day so enjoyable. Here are a few of my favorite giggles, cries and funny faces from our time together.

Mishka

Each year, we do a special photo shoot with a VIP (Very Important Pet). That pet has the honor or being the Face of the Animal Protection Society of Durham for an entire year! This year, our VIP is Mishka!

To be the poster child of adoption and rescuing shelter pets is not an easy job. It requires a lot of concentration and cuteness during the photo shoot. Mishka crushed it, flashing her signature ears up, smile and head tilt. We even got a laugh out of her.

So be on the lookout for Mishka all year long as she helps to spread the word about the importance of adopting a shelter pet!
