I’m excited to introduce you all to my best friend Becky! Becky is marrying her longtime boyfriend, Chris, this July. So the bridesmaids got together with her mother to plan a surprise bridal shower. Since their honeymoon is to St. John’s (and since Becky has a love for margaritas…which may or may not be found in a pouch in the frozen section of the store), we decided to throw her a tropical themed shower.
Becky and I first met shortly before heading off to our first year at Elon University. Even though we grew up only 30 miles apart, we were paired together as roommates freshman year (Elon encourages diversity and normally pairs you with roommates from different parts of the country). Elon must have known something because Becky and I hit it off instantly and have been good friends ever since. Becky now lives closer to home, which has made helping with the wedding planning difficult for me. So when planning for her bridal shower began, the other girls made sure it was on a weekend I could be there. Of course, that meant my camera was coming too! I wasn’t about to miss the opportunity to capture the look on Becky’s face (spoiler alert: it was awesome!).

I can’t begin to express how much I love Becky and how excited I am for her big day! She was by my side (or at least a phone call away) every step of the way through the craziness that was my wedding. We have a lot planned over the next two months. I know every moment of it will be filled with fun, laughter and probably a few frozen margaritas.
